Date you joined the Partners team:
July 2018, but have been selling Partners homes since March 2014 as part of the Attainable Homes Calgary program.
What’s the best part of your role? What do you look forward to at work?
Helping people accomplish their dreams and goals – maybe it’s a first home, right sizing or investment. I look forward to meeting and helping so many people, it makes the job fresh and exciting every day!
How did you end up working for Partners? Or what inspired you to get involved in the homebuilding industry?
I worked for Attainable Homes Calgary for many years, and was part of that team from when they started selling one of the first Arrive products offered by Attainable Homes, Arrive at Skyview Ranch. From that day I could tell there was something special about the team at Partners, the quality of the homes, how they handled the clients, and the passion to help communities. When I was looking for a change, I knew Partners Development Group was the right fit for me!
What’s your favourite memory from your time working at Partners?
I have so many great memories working with Partners, but watching people line up overnight in the bitter cold to purchase in Arrive at Skyview Ranch Arbours is probably my favorite. Seeing the excitement on people’s faces as they got to pick their new homes that launch day will always stay with me.
What’s your favourite community built by Partners and why? (Past or present.)
I really like how Arrive in Bowness turned out, from the construction, design and amenities. It really brought a modern feel to an old established neighbourhood.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I recently got into golf and now go weekly as part of a league. I also really enjoy traveling.
What’s something that your colleagues may not know about you?
I’ve travelled the world pretty extensively but I have never seen anything east in Canada past Drumheller!
Do you have any advice for first-time homebuyers?
I think first-time homebuyers should always talk to a mortgage specialist early before they start to house hunt. With the new mortgage rules, it is very important to establish your budget, and shop with confidence that the homes you are looking at fit your budget.
What’s the secret to building great homes? What makes Partners different to other companies?
The secret to building great homes is to remember the product that you build and sell is going to be someone’s home. If you remember that, and build to a standard that you would be proud to call home, I do not think you can go wrong! Maybe that is why so many Partners staff live in Arrive communities!
